Environmental Pollution is the major problem which effects all living creatures on the World. All countries and their citizens must act together to take actions which will reduce the effects of environmental pollution on living creatures and protect the environment as soon as they can.

Enlarging the greenfield sites, using alternative and renewable energy sources, using the energy efficiently, using recycled materials for production, controling the heat energy flows from buildings to the Atmosphere are some sample actions that can be administered personaly or socialy.

The fact is annual costs of heating or cooling the buildings are getting bigger in time because of the high energy prices arround the world. We have to reduce the heat energy flow going to the Atmosphere from the buildings. It will be a better World when we manage to reduce the heat energy loses from the buildings to the Atmosphere which enables us to reduce the greenhouse effect.

After the year 2000, Heat Regulation Rules TS 825 was applied as urgency in Turkiye. Turkish Standarts Institute has published the standart TS 825, which regulates heat insulation project rules for buildings. TS 825 standart has put some limitations for heat loses from buildings to the Atmosphere annualy. Turkiye has been divided in to four thermal regions to identify all cities' thermal condition.

Heat Insulation Solutions

We present our new production series of Honey Comb Design Bricks and ClayFix® Mortar for adequate heat insulation for your building's walls

Heat Loss Across the Wall

Enter the thickness and heat conductivity values of the materials used in different layers of the wall. As you are entering the values about the layers, the heat loss across the wall is calculated. The calculated value of the heat loss across the wall must be under the lover limits of necessity of the region or under the needed heat loss project's value.

Below, under the heat loss calculation table you may find some materials' heat conductivity values and the climate regions according to the city you are living in Turkiye.

Suggestions that made by Turkish Standarts Enstitute in TS-825 standart for heat loss across the wall values for different climate regions in Turkiye :

For Turkiye's:     First Region: 0.7 W/m²K    Second Region: 0.6 W/m²K    Third Region: 0.5 W/m²K   Fourth Region: 0.4 W/m²K

Please clik this hyperlik to use the heat transefer calculation utility..

Please use comma for values not equal to integer numbers on the calculation worksheet.

Where can I use the Total Heat Loss value ?

Here is a simple calculation sample :

  WA     : Wall area ( m² )

  U        : Heat Loss Value ( W / m²K )

T1      : Temperature at the inside of the building ( Celcius )

T2      : Temperature at the outside of the building ( Celcius )

  EP      : Electric Energy Price ( KWH / $ )

  H        : Time (Hour)

FUSD: Flying USDs from the building's wall.

 FUSD = [ H x WA x U x EP x ( T1 - T2 ) ] / 1000

Note: We used electric energy as an agent when calculating the FUSD. If you use energy sources different than the electric energy, your cost of heating or cooling will not vary too much. We accept that the coefficiency is %100 when handling the heat energy. The fuel which you have used to handle the heat loss energy may be different than the electricity but your cost will remain very close. Because every energy source is in a competition with each other in the energy market.
